Price Recapture?

If Carey Price were to retire during this offseason, would Montreal be on the hook for recapture as they gained a SIGNIFICANT cap advantage the first two seasons of his current contract of 4.5M each year?

No, only long-term contracts signed prior to the 2013 CBA can potentially trigger a recapture cap hit. As Carey Price signed his contract in 2017, there are no recapture consequences if he retires.
