Frank Nazar Joins Blackhawks

University of Michigan forward Frank Nazar has inked his three-year entry-Level contract with the Chicago BlackhawksNazar will join the Blackhawks immediately with each season including an $855K NHL Salary and a signing bonus of 95K. The second and third years include $900K total in potential  "A" Performance Bonuses. The contract terms are per PuckPedia, who had the terms of the deal first.

Drafted 13th overall in the 2022 NHL Draft, Nazar has spent the last two seasons with the University of Michigan Wolverines where he had 48 points in 54 career games.

After suffering an injury last season that saw Nazar only play 13 games, he was a point per game player this season with 41 points in 41 games. Nazar also won gold with the USA U20 team this past winter, where he had 8 assists in 7 games. With his season now done, Nazar is reportedly joining the Blackhawks immediately with their season coming to an end in the next few days. 

An elite playmaker, Nazar has always been known as a pass-first type of player. He will now have the chance to join an elite young core in Chicago that includes Connor Bedard, Kevin Korchinski, Landon Slaggert and Lukas Reichel. Chicago has a lot to be excited for in the near future with Oliver Moore and Sam Rinzel waiting in the wings to join the Blackhawks within the next few years.
